Silent Night (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
No matter how bad a Christmas you think you are having, just thank the lord you are not Keira Knightley on Silent Night (2021).  Faced with the impending death of the world and some truly obnoxious friends (and their equally loathsome kids), Silent Knight tracks the last few hours and they get together for one last festive meal.  Think that it sounds dark?  Add in suicide pills, arguments and a few surprises along the way and you are getting close.  It’s pretty depressing stuff for sure but, whilst the film gives you few people top cheer for, its all expertly done with a great cast and q wonderful building of dread as the run time closes in.  So maybe not one for festive rotation but well with a watch if you are feeling the other side to the festive season…
