Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Well it was probably a good idea on paper. Starring walking man mountain and DC superhero Jason Momoa, this revenge action thriller thinks it’s MUCH MUCH smarter than it is. Brian Mendoza, making his directorial debut, delivers a film that oozes sadness at every turn. The drab colours, the muted tones, the lifeless characters… god even thinking back on this I feel depressed.  It’s just no fun. Equally Momoa is just so miscast here as the everyman out for revenge.  He looks like a pro-wrestler or superhero and it undercuts the fact that the film portrays him as far more vulnerable than he can play.  It just honestly makes no sense.  Okay so the film has a few above average action scenes but anyone expecting anything new here will be sadly disappointed.

Best Bit: It was free on Netflix I guess…
