Black Friday (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
If you are a fan of Army of Darkness or other similar Bruce Campbell films (and there are MANY) then you will probably enjoy Black Friday, a messy but fun low budget horror comedy that doesn’t really have much of an idea of what it wants to be (Zombie film? Horror comedy? Satire? Monster film) but still manages to deliver something enjoyable just based on charm and knowing genre nods alone.  And it really does throw in everything – alien parasites, giant creatures, zombies, blood, guts and gore… if you cant make something original then at least make it a good ride instead and that’s exactly what director Casey Tebo does.  For better or worse.  Whatever it’s a Bruce Campbell film so it had me at hello.

Best Bit: It’s Bruce Campbell…
