Freaky (2020) – A ’31 Films Of Halloween’ Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
The issue with modern day horror films is that they often don’t go far enough.  A great concept can be lost in a solid film.  And despite being really good fun Freaky, a contemporary horror comedy take on the Freaky Friday story, still manages to fall short of being great by delivering a saggy middle section that lacks some of the glorious 80’s style gore that the opening scenes deliver.  That said this is worth watching for Vince Vaughn alone who is hysterical.  Blumhouse’s second best film of 2020.

Best Bit: Vince Vaughn is brilliant in the dual role
