Don’t Breathe 2 (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
If you look at Don’t Breathe 2 as a home invasion thriller/horror in its own right then there’s a lot to like – it’s tense, brutal and bloody with Lang striking quite the imposing protagonist.  But as a sequel to Don’t Breathe its a bit of a strange move – taking the original films villain and turning him into the quasi hero of a movie, with even darker organ transplantation and kid abduction under tones. Does it matter?  Not REALLY … after all can anyone actually remember the original? Fede Alvarez writes and produces this time out but his grubby finger prints are all over the DNA of this oft brutal film.  Worth a watch if you like this kinda thing.
