Z (2019) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Shudder, the horror centric streaming channel, is making quite the impact with its original horror programming.  Recently we reviewed The Beach House and before that the barking mad Blood Quantum, both super enjoyable and well made horror films.  Next up is Z – a film that tells the story of a family that find themselves terrorised by their eight-year-old son’s imaginary friend. It’s pretty creepy stuff, very much in the quiet… quiet… BANG style of horror film making and feels very much like a film Blumhouse would have made a few years back.  It’s not the most gruesome or original of horrors but it keeps you on the edge of your seat as the story twists and turns through its relatively predictable narrative.

Best Bit: Play date

Buy, Stream, Avoid: Stream (Shudder)

If You Liked this Try: Blood Quantum, The Beach House, Revenge, Creepshow (TV), The Babadook
