Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard – the sequel no one asked for arrives in cinema with little fan fare when, in truth, this is a film that could quite happily ended up on Netflix without anyone really caring (and [probably done better business). Because, being really honest, this is probably not the best use of two hours of anyone’s time. Is it terrible? At times yes. Did I hate it? No. Would I recommend it? Maybe if you REALLY really liked the first film. Because the Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is more of the same – just with an added A-List cast members all bringing their A-grade swearing game – including a potty mouth Salma Hayek, an F-Bombing Morgan Freeman and Richard E Grant in a role so short I almost missed it. Overall the actions okay, the script isn’t as funny as it thinks it is and it’s too long. So just like The Hitman’s Bodyguard then.
Best Bit:Salma Hayek’s filthy mouth
