Violation (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Violation isn’t an easy watch.  In fact that’s probably the understatement of the decade. But it’ also not your typical revenge film either. Violation is a often brutal, often shocking look at how someone can be pushed over the edge with serious consequences.  Writer, starring and directed by first time feature director Madeleine Sims-Fewer, is as much a look at trauma as it is revenge.  Both both are firmly on display for all to see. And both are equally hard to watch.   It won’t be to every ones taste but  Violation is a film you are likely to remember for a long time after watching.  Another win for streaming service Shudder.
