Moxie (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Moxie isn’t exactly a new take on the familiar coming of age high school genre.  It’s also not the most subtle.  And it could probably be 20 minutes shorter.   BUT what Moxie does have is a bucket load of charm, a warm heart at its core and a great cast which help smooth other the rougher edges of this story of a shy 16-year-old who publishes an anonymous zine calling out sexism at her school. Amy Poehler does a good job directing and the soundtrack is excellant.  Well worth a watch.

Best Bit: A great cast
