Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Few people have fond memories of Paul Verhoeven’s disasterpiece Showgirls. It was after all it was a critical, commercial and even a moral flop. I however thing that Showgirls was one of the 90’s best worst films. Yup it’s bad but it’s also brilliant. So You Don’t Nomi was a fun revisit of the cult of this much maligned film, even better for the moment people seem to be trying to convince themselves that the film had more weight than it really did. You Don’t Nomi probably wont appeal to many who haven’t seen Showgirls but as that films cult continues to rise so will the relevance of this fun, distracting piece of work.
