Rocky 4 (1985) – A Hall Of Fame Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Rocky 4 will be the last film I see in the cinema in 2020 if the impending closure of Cineworld cinemas continues throughout the rest of the year.  But to be honest I probably couldn’t think of a better film to go out on… yup Rocky 4 may not be the best Rocky film, it may not even be the best Rocky sequel but this 90 minute collection of montages, OTT fights and 80’s music is pretty much all the fun you can legally have on the big screen. Rocky 4 is big, dumb and every bit the 80’s movie you expect.  But it has heart, a unique style and a lightness of touch that modern films lack.  What more could you ask for?

Best Bit: Apollo and THAT entrance!

Worth A Rewatch: Yes. Rocky 4 is a lean mean 90 minute fighting machine!

If You Liked this Try: Rocky, Rocky 2, Rocky Balboa
