Enola Holmes (2020) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
The latest star laden Original from Netflix, Enola Holmes, is fun enough but pretty much will stay with you for about as long as you are watching it.  Okay that may be a BIT harsh but I doubt many will rush to rewatch this period comedy.  Millie Bobby Brown does a good job in the titular role and just about finds the balance between charming and annoying, whilst the support cast (lead by Cavill as Sherlock Holmes) are very good.  The film also delivers visually and is great to look at but the messy story, jumpy narrative and televisual direction just lets it down.  So for sure one of Netflix’s better originals but still far from essential.

Best Bit: To Camera
