The Rental (2020) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
The Rental takes you on a journey, a pretty frustrating one to be fair.  For pretty much 75 minutes of the films sub-90 minute run time you are gagging for something to happen.  You know it’s coming.  It’s teased nearly perfectly.  But you wait. And wait.  And wait.  When it does finally arrive at its inevitable destination it depends heavily on just how much you enjoyed/endured what happened up to that point to whether you care.  Because, every before hand aside, this film has a great last 15 minutes.   So is the end of The Rental worth the wait?  Yes.  Probably.  Just about. But you may equally hate it.  Confused… me too.

Best Bit: The last 10 minutes are insane
