Twister (1996) – A Rewatched Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
I wasn’t a huge fan of Twister back in the day.  The early 90’s advent of CGI left us with a bunch of hollow and plotless action films that went for spectacle over story.  Or Twister.  That said all these years on it’s aged better than you’d expect and the film is tinged with more than a hint of sadness, with the deaths of both Hoffman and Paxton.   Look everyone is giving it their best here at it’s nothing less than fun but the story remains paper thin and you forgive the effects rather than enjoy them.

Best Bit: Cow!

Worth A Rewatch: Yes

If You Liked this Try: Independence Day, Titanic, The Day After Tomorrow , Speed
