Walking Tall (2004) – A Rewatched Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
In a world of massive CGI explosions, bloated casts and equally bloated run times revisiting a paired down, super lean sub 80 minute action film like Walking Tall is such a pleasure.  Yup it may not have cost $200 million to make or have a cast of A-listers but the simple story matched with a star making turn from The Rock (as he was then) and some top notch action sequences make this stand out from the usual crowded B-movie action fare.   It also holds up really well.  So yup Hobbs & Shaw may be bigger and louder but Walking Tall is the film you need to spend your time on.

Best Bit: Casino

Worth A Rewatch: Hell yes

If You Liked this Try: Hobbs & Shaw, Welcome to the Jungle, Faster
