Focus (2015) – A Revisited Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
So that was a surprise.  Who knew that a pretty throw away con movie, with a lead whose last major film was the uber flop After Earth could be so good?  Focus is fun. Pure and simple.  In fact I smiled all the way through it’s tight sub two hour run time.   Okay It won’t stay with you for years after but watching it you get swept up with the glamour, the glitzy, the snappy dialogue and the sparkling chemistry of it’s leads.  And whilst Smith is certainly back on form, Margot Robbie steals the show proving she’s a lot more than Jordon Belfort’s oft naked wife.  In a world where everything is getting darker and writer, it’s kind nice just to have some fun for a change.  Highly recommended.

Best Bit: The SuperBowl.
