Ticks (1993) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Just a few years before Scream would change modern horror forever, Ticks was released direct to VHS just to remind us that the 80’s still hung over the genre thick and fast.  And that’s not a bad thing.  Ticks is old school – practical monster/creature FX, functional script, low budget… but does throw in a few curve balls not least with it’s cast that includes a young Seth Green and none other than Alfonso Ribeiro aka Carlton from Fresh Prince. Oh and Clint Howard.  Well it was the early 90’s. It’s a lot of fun and stands up pretty well considering.  Now on Prime in the UK.

Best Bit: Is that… It is.  Cartlton.
