Upgrade (2018) – A Quick Capsule Review

Upgrade (2018) – A Quick Capsule Review

Quick Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Upgrade is a massive (pleasant)  surprise.  A little known genre film from Blumhouse studios, Upgrade is a modestly budgeted sci-fi with elements of Cronenberg body horror mixed in with some usual Blumhouse violence and some pleasing gore. Lead Marshall-Green does a bang up job with the action and the final revelations were a genuine surprise. One of 2018’s best surprises so far.

Best Bit: Stem turns on

Buy, Stream, Avoid: Buy

If You Liked this Try: The Purge,  Happy Death Day, Existenz
