Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
The Hunger Games failed to excite me first time out, it’s Young Adult take on Battle Royale ended up being more Royale With Cheese. But oddly the sequel makes a much better job of it.  From it’s engaging characters, fantastic production design and larger than life performances, Catching Fire delivered where The Hunger Games failed.  Well worth a watch.

Best Bit: The production design is amazing

Cinema, Stream, Avoid: Stream

If you liked this try: Harry Potter Films, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, The Hunger Games

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Ugh.  Yup the news breaking recently that the final film in this series will go direct to TV doesn’t surprise me – more than most similar YA films the Divergent series has suffered from increasingly poor returns both creatively and financially (from what was never that high a bar to start) and Allegiant was no better.  Tepid action, boring story and seen it all before twisting stories, it’s all so ‘meh’ now.  Thankfully then just one more to go…

Best Bit: Not much to be honest

Buy, Stream, Avoid: Avoid
