On this episode of the podcast we talk about Liam Neeson’s action films including his most recent release The Commuter.  We wax lyrical about how the film makes no sense, how he’s 60 years old (and often tells us) and how Die Hard has a lot to be sorry for.  Light spoilers included.

Hosted by Award winning Filmmaker Ross Boyask and blogger/writer/failed filmamker Phil Hobden.

Films Discussed: The Commuter, Krull, Taken, Taken 2, He Who Dares 2, Point Break, Non Stop, Die Hard

The Commuter – A Quick Capsule Review

The Commuter – A Quick Capsule Review

Quick Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
The Commuter starts slow and never really gets into second gear.  What should have been throw away action thriller ends up being so laughably bad that by the end I wasn’t quite sure if it was meant to be a parody or not.  This is no Taken.  In fact it’s not even a Taken 2 (which was terrible but at least had some action).  Nope this is what happens when you make a film bereft of a decent idea, a decent script and a decent director.  Laughably bad, stupid to teh extreme and pretty much a ride that needs to be missed.

Best Bit: How many years were they partners?

Buy, Stream, Avoid: Avoid

If You Liked this Try: Taken, The Girl On A Train, Non-Stop
