American Ninja – A Classic Quick Capsule Review

American Ninja – A Classic Quick Capsule Review

Quick Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
I LOVED the American Ninja films growing up.  They were my gateway drug into classic Ninja films, the likes of Sho Kosugi and, in turn, the Hong Kong films of Jackie Chan & John Woo.  They also launched my love of direct to DVD action films, something that years on I still have massive affection for.  So nearly 30 years on, does American Ninja hold up?  Well mostly yes.  It’s fun. It’s full of action. And it’s cheesy as hell. For sure it won’t convert any new fans but for those who grew up with them, they are more than worth a revisit.

“He has great skills”.  Indeed.
