Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Frozen was a mess. No really it was. A throw it at the wall and see if it works approach that somehow ended up captivating a generation of kids. But for all its faults, Frozen had bucket loads of charm, memorable songs and female centric story rewrote how a Disney film should be made. Frozen 2 then had a LARGE mountain to climb. And pretty predictably for me it fell short. It’s not bad and I laughed loads but it lacked the ‘lightning in a bottle’ magic that the original delivered in spades… as well as any memorable songs. Frozen 2 is bigger, bolder and better animated but in the grand scheme of things that doesn’t always make for a better film. But hey what do I know – a 43 year old is NOT this movies target audience and no doubt kids will love it.
Best Bit: Olaf. Olaf. Olaf.
