Phil’s End Of Year Awards 2018

Quick Review Year In Review

So 2018 is almost over and it’s that time a year again where everyone reflects back on their best and worst films of the year.  So we’ve covered our best and our worst films of 2018, so before we look at the films coming up in 2018 here’s my ‘Alternative’ End of Year Awards for 2018…

Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018) – A Quick Capsule Review

Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018) – A Quick Capsule Review

Quick Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Escape Plan 2: Hades is utter rubbish.  Yet in it’s own direct-to-DVD-with-a-decent-cast-and-some-nice-action way I kinda enjoyed it.  Just don’r expect to see too much of Dave Bautista or Stallone as their roles are little more than expended cameos.  That said it kinda doesn’t matter as the reins have been handed over to Xiaoming Huang who stars as a member of Tay’s team who ends up behind bars once again.  It’s total hokum but it is fun, with the action scenes featuring some great group fights.  It’s no Raid but check the brain and there’s enough here to enjoy!

Best Bit: The Escape

Buy, Stream, Avoid: Stream

If You Liked this Try: The Escapist, Escape Plan, Lock Up
