Deadpool 2 – A Quick Capsule Review

Deadpool 2 – A Quick Capsule Review

Quick Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Deadpool 2 is good fun.  Okay it may not quite hit the heights of the original Deadpool but there’s enough action, humour, crudeness and in-jokes to keep even the most hardened of comic book fans happy.  Adding X-Force and Cable was a good shout, with both having plenty of standout moments but as usual it’s Ryan Reynold’s film and he relishes every second he’s on screen. But as good as the film is, it’s the end credit sequence that gets the biggest laughs. So may not win many new fans but those who loved Deadpool will get loads out of this.

Best Bit: End Credits

Cinema, Stream, Avoid: Cinema

If You Liked this Try: Deadpool, Wolverine Origins, Kick-Ass 2

Deadpool – A Quick Capsule Review (Revisited)

Quick Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Deadpool has its flaws but in a $60million budged film that EVERYONE thought would do ‘okay’ which has now become one of the most critically and commercially successful X-Men and non Marvel studios films ever, you can kinda overlook them.  In modern parlance Deadpool has smashed it.  Thanks to Ryan Reynolds who has Shepherded this film form the start, Deadpool is everything the fan boys wanted it to be.  And everything the non-fan boys wanted as well.  R rated, potty mouthed, action packed and clever… Deadpool just works.  In a cinematic landscape awash with similar superhero films at least we have something very different…

Best Bit: Sexy time.

Buy, Stream, Avoid: Buy

If You Liked this Try: Ironman, Guardians Of The Galaxy, X-Men 2

Deadpool 2 – Review Round Up

All Things Film Blog The Blogs

Want to know what the critics think of the latest hot releases but don’t want to have to search for them?  Well look no further as we round up the reviews from 5 of the most influential sources for the latest BIG RELEASE movie.

This time out: Deadpool 2

Overall Critics Say

“Although it runs short on plot, Deadpool 2 delivers a sequel that’s crasser, gorier, and funnier than its predecessor.”- 7.8

No Published Review – x/5

“Funnier, filthier, and damn entertaining, Deadpool 2 leaves no stone un-deconstructed: the naughty man-child of the X-Men universe who manages to beat them at their own game.” – 4/5

“No matter how far “Deadpool 2” thinks it’s pushing boundaries, it makes sure that even when a gag falls flat, the joke is always on you.”

” But it’s, in my view at least, a downgrade on the first film, both narratively and comedically. It is, though, worth sticking through the end credits…” -3/5
