Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Blue Story was the worst thing to happen to Cinemas until Covid19. Not because ether film was bad – far from it – but movie spilled over into real life with copy cat violence and negative news stories filling the air from its initial release. You can see why it may have hit a nerve – Blue Story is super honest, super real and super tough to watch. A powerful film that leaves lasting message, it may not always be easy to follow or easy to watch but it’s a story that needed to be told and was incredibly timely coming off numerous violent incidents in the capital. So important for sure but don’t expect a comfortable ride.
