Army of Thieves (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Army of The Dead was long, overblown and frankly a bit disappointing… especially when you consider its’ director Zack Snyder did a great job with his Dawn Of The Dead remake. This prequel (which mostly lacks zombies) does a better job of building the world – even if you are left with the question of ‘did it really meed it’ and, of course, the answer is no.  Not really.  Director and star Matthias Schweighöfer does a good job bringing depth to one of Army of The Dead’s more interesting characters and the film has some good moments.  But again the film is too long and too unfocused to really stand out beyond being yet another average Netflix original…

Best Bit: Matthias Schweighöfer does a good job in his two roles
