Phil's Quick Capsule Review

In Search of Darkness (2019) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
In Search of Darkness is probably the most comprehensive look at 80’s horror you will ever get.  At well over 4 hours this is one for fans only (it’s far too inside baseball for those new to the genre) but it’s combination of diverse interesting clips, string of impressive interviews & interviewees and an easy to follow format makes this essential watching for anyone who grew up with the VHS horrors of the 80’s (and this covers everything from the Friday The 13th Films to Childs Play, They Live and a load more you’ve probably never heard of).  In fact after 4 hours I wanted more (which thankfully a sequel is incoming).  In short: an excellent, detailed documentary.

Best Bit: The quality of interviews
