Goosebumps (2015) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Goosebumps isn’t a bad film.  In fact Goosebumps is a pretty fun ride full of monsters, CGI and lots of running round.  BUT it also feels like an attempt to remake Jumanji which, ironically enough, itself would be remade just two years later.  Look it’s silly, obvious and throws EVERYTHING on the table but for fans of this kinda film (which I broadly am) it never outstays its welcome and Jack Black is always great value for money.  BUT if I had to pick one I’d say opt for the modern Jumanji reboot which offers similar ideas but with added Dwayne Johnson. Win/Win in my book!
