Naked Singularity (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
A young idealistic New York City public defender burned out by the system decides to rob a multi-million drug deal of one of his clients… a pretty cool pitch right?  So can the film live up to it’s strong one liner… well actually yes (for the most part). Naked Singularity is a pretty unique crime thriller, with a great cast (and Ed Skrein) some interesting twists and turns and a short enough run time that honest allow you to dwell too much on those moments that don’t work. It may not be for everyone’s taste – it gets a bit ‘out there ‘ at times but this off-kilter indie movie is a promising feature directorial debut for Palmer that just about manages to make its weird mashup of ill-fitting genres work.

Best Bit: Sword time!
