Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Candyman has held up surprisingly well in the 28 years since its original release back in 1992. The story of an urban legend hook handed boogeyman, played by Tony Todd in a career defining performance and based on a story by Clive Barker, Candyman is a scary, creepy horror . that never lets up. Director Bernard Rose does a great job keeping the film tightly wound but its the score by composer Philip Glass that helps the film transcends its simple narrative and contributes to this being a truly landmark horror.
Best Bit: Glass’ music
