Wrath of Man (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
As you’d expect from a Guy Ritchie Film, Wrath of Man is slick, barebones and, at times, brutal.  It’s also uneven, both under AND over written and, when you break it down, makes pretty much no sense what so ever.  It’s oddly still a lot of fun however.  Finally reuniting the British director with action star Jason Statham, who is back to his hard man best here as he plays a gangster/father/armoured truck driver on a quest to kill lots of people and look serious. Both of which he does in spades.  And if it sounds ridiculous… well it is.  It’s all over the place.  But it’s also never dull and sees director Ritchie back on form after his King Arthur wilderness years.  And let’s all be thankful for that!

Best Bit: Statham and his deadpan delivery

Cinema, Stream, Avoid: Stream

If You Liked this Try: Nobody, John Wick, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels
