Darkman (1990) – A Rewatched Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Sam Rami’s Darkman is often forgotten when looking back at the landmark film of the 90’s.  Okay so it’s no Schindler’s List for sure yet Darkman deserves FAR more credit than it gets.  Post Evil Dead 2, Darkman continued to cement Rami’s mad style – from crash zooms, overlays and a camera that at times seems alive complimenting some gloriously over the top performances (specifically Liam Neeson who is off the chart here).  Oddly it’s aged pretty well also… yup some of the effects seem a bit dated but overall it holds up well.  Sure it wont b for everyone’s tastes but Darkman remains a firm favourite of mine.

Best Bit: Rami Cam!

Worth A Rewatch: For sure.  It’s really good
