Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Warning… Saint Maud isn’t a film for the feint of heart. Across its sub 90 minute run time, this unsettling horror is a unique look at mental health and belief that stays with you long after the credits role. It’s shocking and a breath of fresh air for the British horror genre. Morfydd Clark is fantastic in the titular role and Rose Glass, in her feature directorial debut, marks herself out as a filmmaker to watch. Saint Maud is one of 2020’s best films.
Best Bit: The ending. Shocking.
Buy, Stream, Avoid: Stream (its great but I can’t imagine watching it again!)
