News Of The World (2021) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
News Of The World, released in 2020 in the US and on Netflix in the UK in 2021, is a slow burn Western focused more on performances & relationships than action and, in that regard, it works well.  Hanks is his usual warm and honest self as the former Southern Captain caught in a world which is changing and becoming more unforgiving by the day, but its Helena Zengel as the Kiowa raised orphan who steals the show with a simply amazing performance.  Greengrass is a solid hand in the directors chair but you kinda think with a Spielberg at the helm this could have been something really special.  As it is its pace won’t be for everyone but I for sure enjoyed News Of The World for what it was.

Best Bit:Helena Zengel is a amazing
