Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
A sequel to a film I’d never seen (and, to be fair, probably won’t), directed by the iconic talent behind, urm, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore… I mean what’s not to like? In all seriousness whilst Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is an uninspiring mess at times, it does have Dwayne Johnson and that always helps notch it up a point or two but beyond that this Jumanji light effort is pretty weak and unmemorable for the most part. That said I’m definitely not the target audience here and my daughter (who is 10) enjoyed it much more! So one for the kids then…

Best Bit: Dwayne Johnson is always great value.
