The Pembrokeshire Murders (2021) – A Quick Capsule TV Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
ITV’s latest real life crime drama tells the story of the Coastal Path Murders and the work to prove John Cooper (often called the game show killer) was responsible.  A great cast, including Keith Allen as Cooper and Luke Evans as DI Steve Wilkins, sit at the heart of this slow paced but deliberate story and is a gripping look at the process of solving cold case crimes. In fact whilst it may seem pedestrian to many, The Pembrokeshire Murders is patient mature TV.  As usual with dramas like these there’s elements of fabrication and creation to drive the narrative forward but in the end this doesn’t matter if the narrative is strong enough.  So in short – a compelling and interest true life drama.
