Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Freaks is actually pretty smart film.  Yes I know that’s almost damning with faint praise but stick with me here.  Playing like a cross between Room and Chronicle, Freaks keeps you guessing right until the last 10 minutes or so as the story twists and turns.  Okay so it’s not as good as either and the journey probably could have been a little shorter and tighter put together BUT the more I watched Freaks the more I bought into the world it built and therefore cared where the story ended up.   Well acted with solid direction overall Freaks is a recommended watch.
