Star Wars: The Mandalorian Chapter 16 (2020) – A Quick Capsule TV Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
When does a show cross the line between being its own thing and just pandering to fans?  This season The Mandalorian has brought back Ahsoka Tano, Boba Feet and Bo-Katan from various areas of the cannon and now, in the final episode, it gives us not one but two original trilogy legends.  So is it too much fan service? Nope.  I loved it.  From the start this episode delivered one of the best sub hour of content that 2020 has produced – from Slave One kicking ass again to the assault to THAT ending.  What’s more the show delivered possible new directions and a fresh start when the Mandalorian returns in season 3.  Okay if I HAD to pick fault the CGI still didn’t live up to the promise but by then I kinda didn’t care.   The Mandalorian Chapter 16 is one of the best TV episodes I’ve watched, pure and simple.

Best Bit: A legend returns…
