Possessor (2020) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor in its uncut form is a gruesome journey with mashed heads, full frontal nudity and shocking moments.  What a joy that is to write!  In a year where cinema seems tamer than ever leave it to a Cronenberg to come and upset the apple cart. Possessor isn’t perfect, it’s narratives a bit too jumbled and at times the film does step firmly into pretentiousness,  but I love the fact that this is a balls out old school sci-fi horror film of the kind that just isn’t made any more. Cronenberg once again proves himself to be a unique cinematic vision, much like his dad did some 40 years ago.  Cant wait to see what he does next.

Best Bit: Gore. Lots of gore.
