Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts (2019) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
This documentary provides an intimate portrait of RuPaul’s Drag Race alumnus Trixie Mattel as she goes back into the show that made her famous whilst launching her career wider through TV, music and shows.  What strikes you most about the documentary iOS just how open and honest it is and also just how bloody hard Mattel works.  From shows to performances and interviews – it’s a non stop ride of hotels, travel and work. The glamour is certainly missing.  Will this appeal outside fans of Drag or Drag Race? Probably not but for those who are fans there’s a lot here to unpack.

Best Bit: Getting the tea on Katya/Trixie
