Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
I knew next to nothing about Lil Peep, an American rapper, singer, songwriter and model. Which was probably a good thing because Everybody’s Everything probably rewrote a lot of peoples opinions about the tragic pop culture figure who died at just aged 21 of an overdose (although other opinions are very much available here). They always say that a great documentary has story, conflict, structure and character and they are all present here as the story unfolds in such an oh-so-familair way. Be it Morrison, Winehouse or Cobain these tales all tread such a crushingly predictable path that starts with talent finds fame along the way and ends in early death and tragedy. Everybody’s Everything is a powerful documentary, regardless of your connection to it’s subject.
