Athlete A (2020) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Athlete A is not an easy watch, as you’d expect from a documentary about sexual abuse.    It is however super compelling. Directed by Bonni Cohen & Jon Shenk, the film takes a deep dive into the years of ignored and overlooked sexual abuse of girls and young women by then Olympic doctor Larry Nassar. Using a series of emotional first-person accounts, this documentary hits hard and stays with you long after the credits roll.  Powerful and compelling stuff.
