Phil's Quick Capsule Review

Palm Springs (2020) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti & J.K. Simmons star In this quirky independent time travel comedy from director Max Barbakow and streaming service Hulu that is part Groundhog Day part Primer.  It also ends up being one of 2020’s surprises – a witty, smart and honesty story about two people who may or may not be falling in love. Samberg was the right choice for the lead and has great chemistry with co-stars Milioti and Simmons who almost steals the film.  It has a few surprises along the way but this is more about characters than story. Palm Springs is a really fun film that was just what we needed in these less than ideal times.

Best Bit: J.K. Simmons is ace.
