Phil's Quick Capsule Review

Minority Report (2002) – A Rewatched Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Loosely based on the 1956 short story “The Minority Report” by Philip K. Dick, 2002’s Minority Report arrived with top of their game Steven Spielberg & Tom Cruise, a big budget and a load of cutting edge effects.  And it worked.  The film, feeling stylistically like Spielberg’s War Of The Worlds, is grittier than the directors usual films but still maintains his sharp eye for action and suspense. Cruise gives it full on Cruise and the film rockets along for a 2 1/2 film.   If it has a problem its that the film isn’t as clever as it makes out, with it’s central mystery being pretty ho-hum. But small quibble in what was and still is a really good film.

Best Bit: They all run

Worth A Rewatch: Yes.  It holds up well

If You Liked this Try: War Of The Worlds, Blade Runner, Total Recall
