Calm With Horses (2020) – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Calm With Horses is a pretty low key independent Irish crime drama that is elevated from the rather average story of ex-boxer Douglas `Arm’ Armstrong as he is torn between his work for ruthless Devers family and looking after his autistic son.   Cosmo Jarvis is a revelation here and give s layered central performance and whilst the pace is far from glacial it isn’t exactly John Wick either. Calm With Horses is a solid drama then but you won’t struggle to find more engaging films.

Best Bit: The performance from Jarvis
