Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Blood Quantum, an independent Canadian production, is the worlds first Native American themed Zombie film and it’s clear that even with fast zombies in place director Jeff Barnaby is a huge fan of the genre defining works of Romero and Fulci. It’s a gory, bloody and often over the top effort that falls short mostly because of budget rather than ideas, extending to some poor performances and awkward dialogue. So Blood Quantum won’t break any ground and is more Land than Dawn but still there’s a lot to enjoy here.
Best Bit: The baby. Ugh
