Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters Part 1 – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
I’m not a massive Anime fan. Or Godzilla fan. Or even of Kaiju films for that matter.  But Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters Part 1 looked interesting – a sci-fi take with a returning crew facing an evolved monster on an abandoned planet Earth. It’s sad then that Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters Part 1 did little to engage me with this genre.  Visually I found it a bit dull with an animation style that didn’t really engage me, the story also struggled to get started ending on a predictable cliffhanger that did little to make me want to return.   It’s not terrible but I just wanted so much more.
