Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Here’s a turn up for the books: After 3 lacklustre to terrible sequels, finally Pirates of the Caribbean finds a degree of the stroke of charm and excitement that made the original such a blast.  Dead Men Tell No Tales – the fourth (!) adaptation of the Disney ride (Yup Over 10 hours of story from one ride) is  rough around the edges for sure (Bardem is wasted, the visual effects seem unfinished and it’s still over long even if it’s the shortest Pirates film yet) but it’s also funny, at times exciting and gives us a Jack Sparrow far more in-tune with that we fell in love with from the original film.  Enough fun to entertain then but hardly essential.

Best Bit: The bank heist
