6 Days – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
6 Days tells the true story of the Iranian Embassy assault in the early 80’s, a story most baby boomers will remember vividly.  Jamie Bell and Mark Strong are good in their roles as SAS soldier and Police Negotiator respectively and the film moves at a pace.  It does however mostly ignore the wider politics of the event(also that fact there were very much two sides to the story) and allows the looming influence of Thatcher to remain firmly off camera. Doesn’t break any ground for sure but it’s a pretty easy watch.
