Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
A Monster Calls is a beautifully made film that takes an emotional look at love and loss from the point of view of a child. With a cracking central performance from Lewis MacDougall and Liam Neeson as the monster the mix of formats, animation and visuals make this a real unique, standout film that may not be for everyone but I really enjoyed it.
Best Bit: MacDougall’s performance
